What is Muster List for pollution contingency ?

1. The oil on deck should never be washed overboard.
2. Chemicals should never be used to treat oil already in water, unless authorized by local authorities as this could contravene local laws.
3. Danger of fire exists until clean-up is complete and every precaution must be taken in this respect.
4. Materials such as saw dust, when used as absorbents for oil, represent a fire hazard and must be stored in safe containers until finally disposed off.

SUBSTITUTE

1. If required, Chief Officer for Chief Engineer and vice versa
2. Duties of ranks not on board or other than those listed herein shall be assigned by Chief officer / Chief Engineer
