Tie rod breakage symptoms

Tie rod breakage can be identified by leakage of lubricating oil from mating surface of different engine parts.

Reasons:
  • Scavenge fire
  • Over tightened/ overstressed tie rods
  • Slack tie rods
  • Increase in Pmax.
