In addition to the annual inspection routines, following additional work shall be carried out:
Lifeboat and launching appliances are subject to a thorough examination. After the thorough exam, dynamic winch brake test (with 110% weight of fully laden lifeboat) shall be carried out by maker’s authorised personnel or DGS approved service centre in the presence of Class.
Whenever manufacturer’s certified facilities/DGS approved service centre are not available, other reputed manufacturer’s service personnel may be utilised, subject to the servicing is done in presence of Class.
