Examination of any manual and automatic fire doors and proving their operations

Confirmation that the means of escape from accommodation, machinery and other spaces are satisfactory

Arrangements found in satisfactory condition.

OILY WATER SEPARATING OR FILTERING SYSTEM – EXTERNAL EXAMINATION

External examination including absence of any signs of wastage, leakages to piping connections, unauthorised changes to piping / equipment and cleanliness.

SEPARATION OF MACHINERY SPACE BILGE PIPING AND OWS PIPING

Confirmation that machinery space bilge piping and OWS piping are separated and that no by-pass arrangement to OWS exists

OILY WATER SEPARATING OR FILTERING SYSTEM – OPERATIONAL TEST

Operational test of system, inclusive of back flush (if applicable) and test of audible / visual alarms

OILY WATER SEPARATING OR FILTERING SYSTEM – NECESSARY SPARES

Availability on board of sufficient replaceable elements (filters and /or coalescers) of proper size and model, as considered necessary by Manufacturer 15 PPM ALARM Examination of the 15 ppm alarm including operational readiness of the equipment, function of indicators, test of audible / visual alarm and automatic means to stop the discharge of effluent ,Valid calibration certificate provided (for equipments approved in accordance with MEPC.107(49).

SLUDGE TANKS AND DISCHARGE ARRANGEMENTS – EXTERNAL EXAMINATION

External examination of sludge tanks and discharge arrangements, including standard discharge connection

OIL FUEL AND BALLAST SYSTEMS – SEPARATION Separation of oil fuel and water ballast systems, with reference to piping and pumping arrangements associated with the respective systems.
