I, therefore protest the above difference. Please note that this letter is in lieu of the clausing by me of the Bill of lading in respect of the above mentioned difference. It is my understanding that this procedure is in accordance with your instruction and in respect of any claims which may arise out of such difference this letter shall be regarded by you as evidence of a quantity dispute just as if the same has been endorsed in the Bill of Lading.
