What is meaning of Bull wire?

Bull wire –

1. A single wire, often used in conjunction with a ‘lead block’ rigged to move a load sideways off the line of plumb. An example of such a usage is found in dragging cargo loads from the sides of a hold into the hold centre.
2. A wire used on a single span topping lift, swinging derrick, to hoist or lower the derrick to the desired position. The bull wire being secured to a ‘union plate’ to work in conjunction with the chain preventor and the down haul of the topping lift span.

NOTE :
