How to take back up of Voyage Data Recorder or VDR/SVDR ?

Following points mentioned below for back up of SVDR

1. Click on SVDR  
2. Click on download controls.
3. Click on download current database.
4. Enter password (VDR) in capital, press enter.
5. Select download partial data.
6. Select start time & stop time.
7. Click on start download.
8. Downloading will start and it will show the location where downloads are being saved.
9. Close the window.
10. Click on SVDR playback on desktop.
11. Click on play
12. Enter password ( VDR )in capital letter.
13. Select ok in playback time slect window.
14. Log information will display eg.-ship’s heading, speed etc.
15. To view AIS, click on AIS playback.
