7. | All fire fighting equipment and safety equipment (specified in the code) in readiness. | ||
8. | No smoking, notices displayed. | ||
9. | All ballast tank ventilators in the “OPEN” position. | ||
10. | Engine room given notice for use of ballast pumps. | ||
11. | Mechanical ventilation to machinery spaces shut down (if required). | ||
12. | All bilges covered and plates secure and same recorded. | ||
13. | Personnel and tools in readiness to change over “Wet holds” after deballast. | ||
14. | Outside equipment provided with dust covers. (eg. Bridge repeaters / projectors/ Lifeboat / Liferafts etc.) | ||
15. | Air conditioning system put on “Recirculation”. | ||
16. | Deck Watchman on duty to tend gangway and moorings. | ||
