Important Notes:
- Ensure the GMDSS reserve batteries have a full charge on them
- Carry out an SSAS test prior to entering port and have the results available for the technician
- Have the LRIT COC available for the technician
- Have prepared for the technician copies of the valid General Operator’s Certificate (at least 2)
- Make sure that the Record of Approved GMDSS Radio Installation is available on board (MANDATORY). Note that the issuance of this form should be considered as separate service request, since it is not subject to the annual radio survey.
