Where fire extinguisher should be kept/placed on board?

Storage of fire  extinguishing medium onboard:

• Room to be located behind the forward collision bulkhead.
• Entrance to be from an open deck.
• For below deck rooms. It should be only 1 deck below the open deck accessible by a stairway or a ladder.
• Mechanical ventilations system capable of changing air 6 times per hr.
• Access doors to open outwards.
• Bulkheads and decks to be gastight.
• Such rooms to be treated as fire control stations.
