What is the radar logbook and its contents?

The radar logbook serves two functions :

  • One technical .
  • The other operational.

On the technical side, information recorded in the logbook would include: maintenance and repairs carried out, spares on board and their part numbers, technical and performance details and information concerning arcs of shadow and blind sectors.

On the operational side, information recorded in the logbook would include: details of detection ranges for various types of targets and information concerning detection ranges of conspicuous objects.
