What is One scene Communications ?

One scene Communications are communication between the vessel in distress between the vessel in distress and other mobile units engaged in search and rescue.

At the point of distress location.

Control of on scene communications is the responsibility of the OSC (on scene commander) or the CSS (Coordinator surface search). The one duty being the nomination of the frequencies to be used.
Simplex transmissions shall be used so that all information is shared.

Preferred frequencies :-

  1. CH – 16
  2. 2182 kHz
  3. NBDP – 2174.5 kHz

Ship to aircraft stations may be used :

CH – 06, 3023 kHz, 4125 kHz, 5680 kHz
