The senior fire officer should be presented with the wallet and may also require the following information:
- The exact location of the fire and the chances of it spreading to other compartments
- Contents of db’s or deeptanks in the vicinity
- What the ship’s staff are doing and how many pumps and hoses are in operation
- If any fixed fire fighting installation is in operation
- The state of cargo operation
- The condition of fuel oil, ballast and fresh water tanks
- The ship’s communication systems
- The number of people on board
- Any peculiarities of the ship’s design
